Education - Every Child's Promise
- I believe every one of our children is filled with promise.
- They carry within them the seeds for the next generation. It is up to us to ensure they have the resources necessary to take them into the future.
- Education is the key to our children's success in the global marketplace.
- I am committed to ensuring our children receive a quality education regardless of the mode of instruction.
- I favor parental choice in determining the type of education best suited to their children's needs; public instruction, charter schools, home schooling, and courses via the internet.
- Idaho is a player in the global arena. An advanced education is necessary to ensure success.
- Work towards more opportunities for advanced education classes in area high schools.
- Work towards those credits being transferable to other institutions of higher learning.
- Work towards finding the resources necessary to ensure attendance in area community colleges and universities.
- Partner with area schools to reduce the rate of teen pregnancy and drop- outs.
- Work towards much improved high school graduation rates, whereas, Nampa lags behind both Boise and Meridian in high school graduation rates.
- Work towards civic education.
- Have a goal of promoting our best children into public service as future stewards of our state.
- Work to protect the education network from critically damaging budget cuts.
